The Miss SA 2014 pageant took place last night, Sun Mar 30 and beautiful 21 year old Rolene Strauss was announced the winner and ambassador of SA at the end of the day. Rolene is a proud Afrikaans lady from the Free State who is studying to be a doctor. The finale was a glamorous event with musical acts like Mi Casa, Bucie and Matthew Mole. Apart from the platinum crown made by Jack Friedman jewellers, the winner also received a prize package worth R1.3m.
Rolene wrote this on her Facebook wall right after she was crowned: " Words can not describe how grateful I am for all your support. It means the world to have people believing in me and dreaming with me. Whatever the outcome, this is the end and also the beginning of a wonderful journey, thank you for living it with me."
